I’m asking you to stand with me to help save our democracy by writing postcards to Californians and urging them to vote YES on Prop 50 (Gavin’s Election Rigging Response Act). A few years ago, I started the Butterfly Brigade as a small postcarding group, and today it has grown into a nationwide movement with hundreds of people sending out “butterflies” for democracy. Together, we’ve helped progressive causes and candidates win—and those victories have been electric! Now we’re facing an urgent fight. We have less than one month to rise up, spread the word, and make sure Prop 50 passes. Let’s do this—together we can make history! I’ve made this incredibly easy for you. Just download the images below, and follow the directions to get postcards printed and sent directly to you. You can get list of names and addresses to send postcards to voters at Commit to Democracy.

To order postcards go to Vista print with this link.

  1. Choose “Horizontal” for Product Orientation
  2. Choose 4″x6″ for Size
  3. Paper Thickness is Standard
  4. Choose “Glossy (front only)” for Paper Stock
  5. Choose “Standard” for Corners
  6. Select your Quantity. Note: the more you print, the cheaper it is per card!
  7. Select “Upload design” button. Choose the blue “Upload files” button. Navigate to the files for print you downloaded: Monarch-butterfly-card2.22.jpg, the image will fill in the postcard outline. Hit ‘the “Next” button, this opens up the “Change the Back” dialogue box, next to the image of the butterfly, choose “upload your design” and navigate to the file you downloaded: butterfly-brigade-prop50-postcard-copy-to-print-copy.jpg and choose that. This image will fill in the postcard outline as well.
  8. Review your design, and then…
  9. check the “I have reviewed and approve my design” box.
  10. Hit the blue “Add to cart” button
  11. Create an account
  12. Select “No, I’ll mail them myself” button
  13. Ignore all the other stuff they try to sell you and choose the blue “Continue to cart” button
  14. Checkout!
